You are here - Home -> March Madness Contest -> Bracket Contests

Updated March 18, 2011 - The 2011 NCAA college basketball tournament has begun. I have put the remaining contests that haven't closed at the top of the chart. I will try to find more Sweet 16 or Elite 8 contests like the ones at BetUS. There are also some March Madness contests that do not involve submitting brackets. You can still sign up for some of them.
Thank you everybody for signing up to the CasinoDave.com league at ESPN. We got 120 entries in the tournament. I will be in touch with the players near the top during the Final Four games. Look on the league message board for more details close to the end of the tournament.
My predictions are in. They might not be right, but these are my best guesses for the 2011 NCAA college basketball tournament.
I have recently updated the Odds to Win the NCAA tournament page and have created a post on my blogspot account. The post includes information about the First Four games and the schedule for the opening round games (including which channel each game is on). By the way, did you know that you can watch all of the NCAA tournament games online? You can watch any game online either at CBS sports or at NCAA.com
You may or may not know that there is going to be a total of 68 teams in the NCAA basketball tournament this year. That is three additional teams then the past several seasons. For about 10 years, the NCAA allowed 65 teams into the tournament and created a play-in game on Tuesday before the tournament started. The march madness brackets rarely ever included this game in any contest.
You can also find a full size 2011 NCAA tournament bracket to print out here along with the bracket results for the past 4 years.

Do you still want to participate in a bracket office pool? Do you think you're too late? Well don't worry, you can still sign up for $5 and $25 NCAA Basketball Pick'em Pools at 5dimes.
Take a look at this screenshot below to see how you will be picking teams in this March Madness pool.
5dimes will usually offer one of these pools before every day that NCAA tournament games are played. These are winner takes 100% of the pool.

If there is more then one person with the most games correct, the tie breaker will be the Total Point for the final game on the list.

Updated March 22, 2010 - Is your bracket destroyed? So is
mine. After I started out with such promise going 25 of 32 in
the first round, I ended the second round with 3 of my final 4
eliminated including my champion pick. I also missed more than
half of the Sweet 16.
Speaking of which, here are some of the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 bracket
contests that I have found so far. There obviously isn't as many
late round bracket pools as regular ones. If I find any more, I
will be sure to update it on this page.
|
Updated 11:00 AM March 18, 2010 - Some of the contests have already closed but others are still open for one more hour. The ones that say you have until tip-off have about 1 hour 20 minutes to go. After that, this page will be updated one more time this year and all of the Sweet 16 contests that I can find will be listed. I know for sure that BetUS has both a Sweet 16 and Elite 8 contests. BetPhoenix also has a Sweet 16 contest. CBS Sports has a round by round contest that allows you to re-pick after each round.
Updated March 15, 2010 - Time to fill out your brackets. Here are a couple of quick tips for you to think about. 18 of the past 21 NCAA tournament champions have been a 1 or 2 seed. The three exceptions are 4 seed Arizona in 1997 and 3 seeds Syracuse in 2003 and Florida in 2006. Also only three times since 1986 has a seed lower than 6 made the Final Four. The exceptions are George Mason in 2006 (11 seed) and both North Carolina and Wisconsin (both 8 seeds) in 2000. Finally, according to Bodog.com your odds of submitting a perfect bracket are about 1 in 9,000,000,000,000 (nine quadrillion) making the odds of hitting the Powerball lottery much more likely.
Still looking for and adding new bracket contests. The first group shown are contests that are 100% free to enter. Many of them allow you create and manage your own group. Below that are the bracket entries that you have to pay for or signup with a sportsbook for. Many of the sportsbook contests require you to deposit and wager on games. I've looked through their requirements and have listed them to try to make sure you aren't surprised.
Take a look at some of the first couple on the money bracket tournaments list if you want a chance win some money without thousands to millions of people playing.
Also take a look at 5dimes sportsbook if you want to play in one or more $1, $5, $10 or $25 bracket pools. I don't believe that they have any wagering requirements in order to sign up and participate in the pools. The pools are 100% winner takes all.
Here are some of the best March Madness bracket contests that I have found this year:

Intertops - With the odds
of hitting all 63 games somewhere around
one in 9,223,372,036,854,775,808, it is no wonder all
these sites can offer these huge million dollar prizes if
they never have to pay it.
Intertops
is offering a $25,000 perfect bracket bonus, and if no one
picks all the games correctly, they split the 25K bonus
amongst the top 25 entries.
Intertops's "$25,000 for 63 correct picks" contest
is the only contest that I have seen offer anything like
this. Very cool. Update: March 16th - Added another 5
bracket contests to the list and also FaceBook links: You are here - Home -> March Madness Contest -> Bracket Contests |
