Mens College Basketball Tournament

March Mania 2014

Welcome to CasinoDave's Essential Guide to the mens college basketball bracket tournaments for 2014. You will find out everything you need to know about the College Basketball Tournament here. You'll notice that I don't have the word March and the word Madness next to each other. This is because I got a cease and desist letter from the four letter organization which I also can't mention. I've decided to have some fun with it like most other people. They also have rights to the words Final and Four when they are next to each other.

This year, Selection Sunday falls on March 16. The First Round (First Four) will take place on Tuesday, March 18 and Wednesday, March 19. These games are rarely ever a factor in any contest or office pool. The 64-team tournament begins on Thursday, March 20 at 12:15PM ET.

In addition to that, you will find a printable Tournament Bracket as well as the completed Brackets from the past 6 years.

I have just finished a huge list of local contests for just about every state and Canada. You can view these local contests here. Many of these contests can only be won if you are in the local participating area of the contest. It is by no means complete and I would like to expand this list if you have any suggestions for your state or local area.

CasinoDave's Free March Bracket Contest

I will be having a free contest again. You can learn about this contest here. I have updated it for 2014. The past 3 years I have hosted a Private Group on ESPN. This is the first year that ESPN has allowed me to keep the previous league open. If you played last year, all you have to do is log in and click the rejoin group option.

We have received 117, 173, and 304 unique players in these contests the past three years. I will once again offer a $50 for first place. If I receive over 200 unique players, I will go ahead and add a third prize ($30 for second and $20 for third). If not, I will only offer a $25 prize for second place.

If we receive a lot more unique people than this, I may change the prizes accordingly. You will need to have a Paypal account in order to receive the cash prize.
