2014 Odds to Win the Mens College Basketball Tournament

Here are current odds on which team will win the college basketball tournament. This is called a Basketball Futures bet and it can be found at the bottom of the Basketball betting lines in the Sports section of Bovada. You will have to bet on your team before the start of the Tournament.

Below you will also find the current team odds to win the 2014 mens college basketball tournament.

College Basketball Tournament Championship Odds

If you would like to place a bet on a team to win the mens college basketball tournament, you should click here to go to Bovada. You will find the option in the Basketball section under Basketball Futures. If a team is listed as 13/2 (6.5 to 1) odds, like Louisville is, you will win $650 if you wager $100 on them.

The main surprises have to be that two 4 seeds, Michigan State and Louisville, have the 2nd and 3rd best odds to win according to Vegas. Meanwhile, the 8 seed Kentucky has better odds (33 to 1) than the other two 4 seeds and all of the 5's, 6's and 7's. You can also see which teams Vegas is down on, such as 5 seeds Oklahoma and Saint Louis (both 100/1).

You can also find current odds to win each of the four regions (Midwest, West, South, East) at Bovada. To find them, go to Betting Lines on the sidebar, then click Basketball -> Basketball Futures.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. What does ML or Money line mean?
A. A money line bet is one without a traditional line or a spread. Your choice must win or the bet is lost.

Q. How do you read these lines?
A. All money lines are read by either of the following ways:
   1. +XXX - In terms of how much you would win if you bet $100 (the + says if you bet $100 you would win XXX)
   2. -XXX - In terms of how much you have to bet to win $100 (- says you have to bet XXX to win $100)

If the number is negative, then that team is the favorite. If no numbers are negative, as we can see below in our tournament odds, then the smallest "+" number would be the favorite.

Q. Do I get my original bet back?
A. Yes. If the odds were +250 and you bet $100, you would win $250 plus your original 100.

Q. I don't want to bet $100 on a team to win the Men's College Basketball Tournament. Do I have to?
A. No. Many places will let you play for as low as a dollar. Many have a cap on how much you can wager on a team. You can divide the money line number by 100 and see what the value is per $1. 250/100 = 2.5 to 1. Win $2.50 for every $1.
